Photo Blocks
Photographs are single-handedly the most precious possession a family can have as a monument to the life of memories they build together. No matter the age or quality of a photo, there is no measure to its worth once the moment it was taken in has passed.
Photo blocks provide an indescribable value to every family. Imagine a world where photos were not only passed through the generations, but if they were breathtaking for those generations to come? A world where a great grand-daughter is able to hold a flawless photo of her family member, long since passed, and clearly see that she has her eyes.
Photo blocks do much more than uniquely present a current and precious time. They bridge the gap in time for families and pull them all close, where they belong.
Photo blocks all started with a little photo studio out of Helmond in the southern Netherlands in 2011. Gabriela and her husband Erwin developed a unique product to offer her clients at Gabriela Koopmans Photography. After two short years, she decided her product was something that was too good not to share and so the first pieces were printed for sale amongst other photographers to offer their clients. Little did she know, this simply beautiful product would start a groundbreaking tidal wave that would become a legacy for the industry.
These slender and sturdy pieces of photo wielding wood blocks are meticulously crafted by her now growing team, including an incredibly talented and adventurous carpenter who is up for any challenging new idea Gabriela dreams up.
Fast forwarding five years, her focus has shifted from her own photography to uplifting and arming photographers with the single most unique and beautiful product on the market. With many imitations all over the world that seek to recreate the masterful quality, Gabriela continues to strongly hold an undeniable claim on the most incredible way to take a client’s breath away.
What to expect:
Photo blocks are images printed and adhered to the wood block so photographs retain their high quality. Your photo is not printed directly onto the wood.
The edges are rounded by hand and smoothed flawlessly for a professional appearance.
Each photo block is hand coated with a protective layer for water and light resistance, to stand the test of time. The protection layer adds a unique look and the subtle charm of a painted piece.
Although Gabriela and her team do their best to make sure each item is as resilient as possible, we strongly recommend that you treat this product with proper care and avoid getting it wet or leaving it exposed to direct sunlight and heat.
Photo blocks are a beautiful marriage of modern technological photo design and rustic handwork.
This process is done entirely by hand, meaning each are a one-of-a-kind piece of art. Because each piece is crafted individually, the pieces need their own print laying, finishing, coating and drying time. This requires a carefully allotted timeframe to guarantee the product you receive is absolutely perfect.
Our Photo blocks creators take great pride in their work & put their heart and soul into every piece. Due to the custom nature of this product, they do not accept returns or exchanges. Please be sure to read the detailed description of the item you are purchasing as it gives information about the type of pieces we sell and what you can expect to receive.
